Even though as readers we could guess the climax, I loved how vividly I could imagine the scenes you wrote. Loved it !!!

This is beautiful. My grandmother has dementia, though she doesn’t wander off, so that makes it especially poignant for me. I’m glad you were able to post it here 😊

Thank you so much! My family was very close with some elderly neighbors while I was growing up, and in my college years they went through situations similar to this one. If it’s all right with you, I’ll keep your grandma in my prayers!

It's a weird thing about a well written story: I totally knew the story required she find him at the church, but I still found myself tense and leaning forward as I read. Lovely, sweet story about well crafted characters.
