It was really considerate of the ghost (or whatever it ends up being) to understand Courtney's financial situation to make sure it moved stuff around at the end of this consultation, so she didn't have to pay for another one.

Based on the setting, I'm thinking poltergeist, a phenomenon often associated with teenagers. (In real life, some manifestations were caused by teens in need of attention--obviously, not the case here.) But I've learned from your earlier work that all may not be what it seems...
