Thank you, Keith! My kids have been watching an animal show that follows the life cycle of a salmon, but I didn’t even think about the possible bear-dog mix-up until I watched part of their show!

I think it works, creates a teensy mystery in the beginning where the reader thinks maybe people are justified in shooing off this bear, only to come find that it’s a poor hungry dog.
